Lake Love

Have you ever had moments in time that you wish you could put in a beautiful glass bottle to be forever saved, remembered, and brought back out to review whe life gets a little gloomy?

That is how I feel every time I am at the lake.

There is just something about summers on the lake.

Waking up with the sun coming up over the water, sitting on the deck watching an eagle fishing for breakfast in the early morning light.
Kids splashing, playing, giggling all day long.
Speeding around the lake on a jet ski with the wind whipping your hair across your face.
4th of July boat parades and fireworks.
Pulling kids on the tube as they shriek and tumble around like puppies while they try not to fall off.  Watching the girls learn to knee board, wake board, and ski and seeing them run back and forth to the neighbors.
Jumping off the dock, grilling on the porch, and sharing food with friends and family.
Floating in the water, minnows tickling your toes, sand castles on the lake's edge.
Sunscreen, sunburn, and sand in your swimsuit.
Fishing off the dock in the dark.
Skipping rocks, skipping your worries and stresses that you left at home because they just don't matter here.

Lake in a bottle?  Yes please!
